Project Description

Protect Title: Trees for Cleaner Air in Dallas

• Goal: What, as exactly as possible, do you hope or expect you would accomplish if you did this project? In what way would the environment be helped?

• What help would you need?
• Labor for planting the trees, watering, and mulching.

NGOs in my locality focus on clean air, friends, and fellow students.

There are not major safety issues except potential allergies to the trees, and equipment handling issues.

• When would you plan to actually start the project? When would you expect to finish the project?

Yes. Trees act as natural air filters, absorbing harmful pollutants such as carbon dioxide and particulate matter while releasing oxygen, thus improving air quality, especially in areas with major pollution like my locality. Additionally, they provide shade and cooling effects, reducing the urban heat island effect, and contributing to overall environmental sustainability, making them essential for healthier cities and a more sustainable future.

• Discuss how this project would help you in the future, if at all.

The project would help me learn about local ecosystems, collaboration, environmental stewardship, and proposal-making skills, enhancing my understanding of environmental issues and community involvement. I might also cite it in a career interview to demonstrate my commitment and discipline.
