ClassWrites Explore. Understand. Grow.

Introduction

This policy explains how ClassWrites uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary and performance-essential cookies keep the website working. Analytics are enabled by default to improve the website and can be disabled at any time using the controls below. We do not use marketing cookies, or sell or share your information.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which provides more information about how we collect, use, and protect information.

Optional performance analytics

Unless you turn analytics off, we use the random cw_unique_id visitor identifier already used by site features to associate activity for up to 14 days. The dashboard records page paths (not query strings), page titles, internal referrer paths, time on page, a broad device category (such as iPhone, Android phone, Mac computer, or Windows computer), approximate country when supplied by our hosting edge provider, and clicks on buttons, calls to action, sample links, and file-download links.

Analytics records do not contain account IDs, name/email form fields, full IP addresses, or raw user-agent strings, and analytics are not joined to account records. Page titles and visible labels of clicked controls may be recorded. The browser sends an activity update on page entry, on page exit or tab hiding, and at most once per minute while a page remains active. The records are retained for up to 90 days and then automatically removed. Approximate country is unavailable when the hosting provider does not supply a country code. A recorded download-link click is an attempt and does not prove that a file finished downloading or that a payment succeeded.

This information is pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous. A random identifier and browsing history may still be treated as personal data under applicable law. The web server and hosting provider may separately process network information to deliver and secure the site; full IP addresses are not copied into the performance analytics tables.

Analytics are first-party and are not sent to Google Analytics or an advertising provider. Use the preference controls above or manage cookie preferences to turn them off.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the website owners.

Cookies typically contain:

  • The name of the server the cookie was sent from
  • The lifetime of the cookie
  • A value - usually a randomly generated unique number

When you visit a website that uses cookies, the website server requests permission to store this file on your device. If your browser settings allow it, the cookie and the information it contains are stored on your device.
